About the NOLAFridge Project

The magnets and images on this blog were collected from the faces of discarded New Orleans refrigerators between October of 2005 and the Spring of 2006. I did not have the owners' permission to take these objects. They were discarded, but I imagine that in many cases, they were not discarded by the magnets' owners. I can only hope that this project tells a story worthy of their loss.

This is not an ideal forum for viewing this objects and images. I am actively searching for a better "home" for their display--ideally an exhibit of Katrina-related ephemera. If you know of any such exhibit, please comment.
